About these example books

Each example has its own illustrative sole-proprietor accounts. Opening balances: $500 checking, $200 savings, 100 USDC at $100, 0.05 ETH at $125 and $300 equipment; owner capital is $1,225. The delivery and client examples never combine their records.

The USDC payment is for new work completed and paid at the same moment, not an already recorded invoice. Its $150 example value enters work income and the USDC account once. The USD-to-USDC purchase is an asset movement, not revenue. USD values and unit quantities remain separate.

This illustration uses the existing 2025 accrual example, assumes $1 per USDC and no transaction fees, and does not model a disposal, a live quote, depreciation or a final tax calculation. Actual digital-asset values, cost basis and any later sale or exchange require their supporting records and applicable tax treatment. No wallet or bank account is connected and no money is moved.

Keep annual statements alongside your earnings and payout records. Reporting a payment again should not create a second copy of the same income.

This workday has no annual 1099 statement attached. All income still belongs in the records, whether or not a 1099 arrives.

Self-employment-tax work and estimated-payment planning belong beside your income records. The amount due depends on your full-year situation, not one payout.

Federal & state workThe forms that fit your business

Radanu keeps the applicable forms and schedules with your business setup. This example shows federal Schedule C inputs, not a calculation for a particular state.

Digital-asset recordsThe payment, value and source stay together

A payment for new work enters the same income records whether it arrives in dollars or USDC. The digital asset keeps its units and recorded USD acquisition value.

Work payments received in USDC$0.00

The sample USDC purchase does not create income. No digital asset is sold in this example; a later sale or exchange needs a separate basis and gain/loss calculation.

About these example tax records

Two separate illustrative sole-proprietor workdays, using accrual accounting and the 2025 Schedule C. Switching examples changes the business shown; it never combines their books. Fees and consumed supplies are assumed business expenses. The examples exclude sales tax, vehicle deductions, depreciation and other adjustments. Your actual forms and treatment follow your business and tax profile.

Mileage is recorded—not valued as a deduction. No GPS tracking, tax filing, bank transfer or connection to a real account occurs on this page.
